Ruth Hawe was born in Derbyshire in 1955 and educated at St. Joseph’s Convent, Stafford, where she was a contemporary of Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy. Ruth has been a vegan activist for more than 40 years, and studied Podiatry at Salford University and Manchester Foot Hospital, practicing privately for 30 years. Singing has always been Ruth’s joy and she is a chorister at Arundel Cathedral. Cycling, painting and travelling are other interests as well as Environmental, Humanitarian and Animal Rights Campaigning. A lifelong pacifist, Ruth lives on the Sussex coast with her canine companion. Her daughter is a teacher and Environmental Scientist.
